Sara and her daughters, Natalie and Chloé, were presented with a check for $50,000 on June 13 at LMCU’s Knapps Corner branch as dozens of LMCU employees cheered in the background. “I never imagined this could happen to us,” said Sara, “When LMCU’s President told me, I literally fell off my bed I was so surprised.”

Sara plans to use part of the money for several home improvement projects, including a kids’ hangout in their basement. But as we found out, this money is worth so much more than just dollars and cents. Fighting back tears, Sara managed to express what this giveaway means for her family’s future, “We’ve had a rough two years…I’m a recently single mom of these two amazing girls, and this will help me keep my girls safe and ensure that I can take care of them.”
