Meet Judith M., the 500,000^th LMCU member, who joined us in May at our new Grand Haven branch on Robbins Road.

Judith, and her husband Roger, live right down the street from the branch. After doing their research and seeing that LMCU was a local business headquartered in West Michigan, they decided to stop by in person. Upon learning that a donation would be made to the Grand Haven Foundation for each new membership that was opened, they decided to join the credit union.

From our humble beginning in 1933 as Grand Rapids Teachers Credit Union, LMCU has grown tremendously thanks to the loyalty of our long-term members and the addition of our newest members. Over the past ten years in particular, our growth has been nothing short of remarkable. We now have 59 branch locations and 9 mortgage offices, in Michigan and southwest Florida to serve you. Together, we’ve accomplished amazing things.

In 2020, LMCU invested $989,961 philanthropically into the communities we serve. As part of our philanthropic impact, LMCU provides opportunities to high school seniors through our Hutt Scholarship program. Since its beginning in 1990, LMCU has awarded $460,000 in scholarships to 272 deserving students.
