On behalf of everyone at LMCU, we wish you a happy and prosperous new year. I hope your holidays were restful and filled with the magic that makes this time of year so special.

As I reflect on my first year with LMCU, I am overwhelmed by the kindness and support of our community. Shortly after joining LMCU as president and CEO, I was fortunate to be able to travel to many of our locations across Michigan and Florida and meet with staff and members. Thank you for the warmth of your welcome — it has been a joy getting to know so many of you at various events throughout the year.

Lake Michigan Credit Union continued to grow throughout 2024. We welcomed our 600,000th member in the spring and had three very successful branch openings. We expanded in Cape Coral, FL, with our Del Prado Boulevard branch, while our new North Muskegon and Greenville locations were our 49th and 50th Michigan branches, respectively. I was fortunate enough to attend the Greenville ribbon cutting with local community and business leaders. The excitement and buzz around a new location is something special, and we are so fortunate to be able to grow our membership and the communities we serve.

We have some exciting opportunities before us to further the mission of LMCU in 2025. It is a privilege to be able to help so many individuals and families across our communities save for an emergency fund, purchase their first home, rebuild their credit, and grow their own business. As credit union members, we all play a part in each other’s successes and accomplishments, and that’s something to be celebrated.
